Why we are raising
OGT-XLID is a rare genetic condition that affects how a child’s brain develops. Around 100 people in the world have been diagnosed, and there is no treatment yet. The science has reached the point where candidate treatments exist and can be tested. What is missing is money.
Everything raised goes into one research fund. CureOGT spends it across several laboratories according to a roadmap the research community wrote together, on the work that has to happen before a treatment can be tested. Nobody at CureOGT is paid.
